The SCOUT KS42 is the ultimate marine boat VHF antenna in
white with a blue rubber tip and a stainless steel ferrule base. It uses
standard threading to fit universally to any mount. Length is 8ft (95in).
Unlike any other, Scout uses a unique pressure injected foam technology that
inhibits condensation and corrosion to protect the perfectly tuned antenna’s
core. Painted with automobile quality paint and finished with a clear glossy UV
protection coat to keep the antenna looking new for many years in the ocean
spray outdoor environment. The reception obtained with this antenna is
outstanding due in part to the 16.4ft (5m) robust tinned copper braid shielding
in the Scout RG58 cable. This reduces electrical interferences. Low quality VHF
antennas use the cable to tune the antenna and can not be trimmed. With Scout
antennas, you can cut the cable to your desired length before attaching the
PL259/RG58 male connector. Do this job once, do it right. Get the most out of your VHF radio with this
