GMC Granite concept (w/ Video)

The biggest surprise at the 2010 NAIAS was GMC's Granite concept - a design that expands (or rather contracts) the truck/crossover brand's 'professional grade' philosophy to a compact hatchback aimed at urban hipsters and early adopters. Conceived by Frank Saucedo's Advanced Design team in California and then built at GM's Design Center in Detroit, the Granite combines the basic proportions of the Nissan Cube and Scion xB with a military/industrial feel inspired by the current G-Star and Diesel fashion lines. The Range Rover Evoque Prototypes - off to conquer the world Last week were were a little hasty and a little harsh. We got sent a set of photos of the Range Rover Evoque all dressed up in camouflage and ready to go out testing round the world. We ran a story questioning why on earth Land Rover would send out disguised Evoques when we’d already seen a production-ready Evoque – without disguise – at the party to celebrate 40 years of Range Rover.

Kia K9 sedan introduced to South Korea

The Kia K9 sedan went on sale in South Korea on Wednesday. Kia's first rear-wheel-drive vehicle comes equipped with a V6 and an eight-speed transmission. The K9 also introduces some features for Kia that will trickle down to other models.
