New C-Class Breaks Cover

MERCEDES has released the first details of its hotly anticipated new generation C-Class. The compact executive model is expected to hit showrooms in mid 2014. As with an increasing number of cars, this new C-Class is lighter than the model it replaces, and Mercedes engineers have increased their focus on lowering CO2 emissions and fuel consumption through a series of weight reduction and engine upgrade programmes.

PM opens Williams F1’s new Advanced Engineering Centre

Prime minister David Cameron has today opened Williams Racing’s new £8 million Advanced Engineering Centre in Grove, Oxford. The new facility will help transfer Williams’ four decades of title-winning F1 expertise into the world of road cars – and the PM has challenged the engineers working there to continue helping Britain compete on the world stage by developing new business opportunities. Subaru BRZ

Subaru's long-awaited BRZ finally surfaced in production format at Tokyo. After the BRZ-STi of LA two weeks ago, the production car loses the iconic Subaru high-level rear wing and other ‘go-fast' parts for an aesthetic close to the production ‘86' from Toyota. The cars low front end, thanks to its low-mounted boxer engine, boasts flared arches whilst the DRG features a large grille and accompanying lower bumper vents that differ from the 86.
