Driver receives 45 points in nine months
Tue, 07 Jan 2014Mitsubishi The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) has uncovered the ‘top 20’ driving licence penalty points holders in the UK – revealing that one man from Liverpool has racked up an incredible 45 points, beating the previous record of 42. But what’s truly astonishing about this is that he ‘achieved’ the 45-point tally in just nine months, between 1 October 2012 and 20 June 2013 – and what’s more, he’s apparently still driving. Mon, 11 May 2009The Jaguar XFR - together with the Jaguar XKR - gets a UK début at MotorExpo 2009 in June The XFR and the XKR will both début at the London MotorExpo 2009, which takes place in Canary Wharf from 8-14 June. Which is probably the best venue Jaguar could come up with (apart from perhaps Salon Prive or the Top Gear Show) as we don’t have a Motor Show any more. Still, the plus is that MotorExpo is a free entry event, which helps, and Jaguar are expecting around 350,000 visitors, which is not too shoddy.
Group 20 supercar club wound up by court

Group 20 has been wound up by the courts, along with sister car finance companies Vehicle Options Ltd and Vehicle Options Fleet Ltd.All three companies were investigated by the Insolvency Service after complaints, CAR can reveal.Group 20 supercar club: what went wrong?The supercar club started trading in 2006 and used a network of franchisees to sell membership to the club. Over time, Group 20 expanded to boast a rental list of exotica worth around £2 million; local newspaper reports in the Medway Messenger reveal Group 20 boasted a Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911, Bentley Continental GTC and, most impressively, a Zonda F Roadster on its books.However, the Companies Investigation Branch of the Insolvency Service found that Group 20 and its parent company had numerous ‘misleading business practices’.
