SEMA 2008 show report: Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Thu, 06 Nov 2008By Phil McNamara Motor Shows 06 November 2008 09:30 Hyundai kicked off the show by unveiling six modded versions of its rear-wheel drive Genesis range. Using SEMA as a platform was the latest step in the Genesis PR push, as Hyundai builds up to the Coupe's US launch next year. 'SEMA is all about OEMs and the aftermarket collaborating,' said John Krafcik, who invited DUB magazine, RK Sport, Street Concepts and other tuners to customise theGenesis.
Mazda diesels on the way
Mon, 05 Apr 2010Word at the New York auto show has Mazda bringing its Sky-D direct-injection diesel engines to the United States in 2012. The first Mazda oil-burner here will be a Mazda 6-size vehicle, said Mazda CEO Takashi Yamanouchi. He wouldn’t say exactly what car, though.
Michelin Challenge Design 2009 preview
Fri, 19 Dec 2008Michelin is continuing to profile the work of some of the leading contenders for its annual Michelin Challenge Design competition, which asks the design community to come up with proposals for "America's Next Iconic Vehicle". All 11 of the scale models and 24 two-dimensional drawings in the running will be exhibited at the 2009 NAIAS in January. Earlier this month, we featured three of these scale models following their selection by a jury of top automotive designers.
