Nissan NV200: Nissan’s take on the London Taxi
Mon, 06 Aug 2012Nissan is taking on the Black Cab market with the Nissan NV200 London Taxi, expected to go on sale in 2014 from around £30k. It may not be the biggest market in the car world, but the profile of the London Taxi makes it a worthwhile target for car makers. Mercedes recently took on the traditional Black Cab with their Vito-based taxi and did a very good job – but at a price; the Mercedes Vito Cab costs around £42k, almost £10k more than the traditional London Taxi.
Tata ramps up production of Nano to boost slow sales

Until now, supply has been pretty limited with sales most months struggling to break beyond four figures; hardly the breakthrough expected from the widely hyped cheapest car in the world. A new plant in Sanand recently came on stream and it has a capacity of 250,000 cars a year.
Rolls-Royce confirms new Wraith coupé for Geneva
Fri, 18 Jan 2013Rolls-Royce will launch its new Wraith coupé model at this year's Geneva motor show, thought to be a dramatic fastback based on the Ghost. The carmaker's CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, announced the news this morning at the company's World Dealer Conference in London, claiming that the Wraith will have "the boldest design, the most dramatic performance" and be the most powerful model yet. The Wraith will shape the future of Rolls-Royce and build on the success of Ghost and Phantom.
