This listing is for a programmed GM Siemens TCM (transmission computer) for 04-05 Cadillac CTS (VIN 7, T) and 04-06 Cadillac SRX (VIN 7, A). The following service numbers are possible:

24223376
24226571

24229790
24229791
24240284

Other numbers may appear (24229381, 24229379, 24229703, etc).  These are not service numbers and are irrelevant.  PLEASE CHECK your service number before you buy.  If your service number is different please find the correct module in our other listings or contact us with your VIN and TCM service number.

It is your or your mechanic's responsibility to properly diagnose a faulty TCM.  Please do not contact us discussing your vehicle symptoms asking us to confirm your diagnosis that your TCM is bad.  We sell and program TCMs, we cannot troubleshoot your vehicle problems remotely.  If you misdiagnosed your problem and it was not a faulty TCM, we do NOT accept returns on that basis; the TCM comes with 30 day EXCHANGE warranty only.

IMPORTANTThis TCM requires programming for your VIN.  What does this mean and why is it necessary?  This does not just mean that a VIN is 'burned' into the TCM.  It means that the entire memory has to be erased and rewritten with correct software for your vehicle to match all relevant specs -- the transmission type (4L80E, 4T65E, etc), axle ratio, tire size, shift and TC lockup pattern, line pressure maps, etc.  That is why you can't just install a used/salvaged TCM with the same ID and expect it to work in your vehicle.  It will not work at all or may work improperly and damage your transmission.  What VIN itself is in the TCM is irrelevant.  The VIN serves as a pointer to download the correct software from GM database to the TCM.  NOTE:  We are the only ones on Ebay who bench flash this TCM (i.e., program it outside the vehicle).

***** We will program this TCM with correct GM calibration for your VIN for free at your request.  Please message us with (1) your VIN VIN and (2) your phone # after you purchase..  We need a complete, valid, 17-digit VIN. CHECK YOUR VIN FIRST on AUTOCHECK.COM.  Mistakes will cause DELAYS in your order. *****

***** If you do not want the TCM programmed for a VIN, you must indicate this explicitly with “NO PROGRAMMING” or a message telling us what you want us to do.  Examples:  Will send VIN later.  I don't have a VIN, I just want a generic factory program for a 2007 TBSS LS2/4L70E, can you do this?  Etc. *****

***** If we receive no VIN or communication of any kind from the buyer with the purchase, we will be unable to process the order:  we will issue a refund and cancel the transaction.  Some people buy our listings, do not follow through with any information and complain that the order was not processed. *****

We are licensed users of exactly the same GM service programming system that GM dealers use.  In addition, we have many special programming tools  and years of experience custom mapping 1,000s of ECUs.  Custom mapping means we change various parameters in factory program to achieve specific results.

***** Custom performance programming is also available for additional $250 (firmer and more responsive shifts, FDR/tire changes, no torque management). Contact us for details. *****

SHIPPING:  FREE USPS Priority Mail shipping to USA (2-3 business days).  Processing is 1-2 business days, i.e., that is how long it takes to ship the ECM.  USPS Express Mail (generally overnight depending on your location) available for additional $25 -- send us message through Ebay and separate PayPal payment request for Express Mail will be sent.  The processing time (1-2 business days) does not change, just shipping transit time.

GUARANTEE 30 DAY EXCHANGE WARRANTY ONLY.  Refund will be given only if no replacement TCM is available in stock.  By purchasing this listing you are acknowledging that you have read, understood and agree to all the terms and conditions herein.

Future products: Lamborghini sees the light

Wed, 22 Sep 2010

Has engine performance gone as far as it can? With horsepower per liter having long since broken the 100-1 mark, Lamborghini seems to think so. So do many European regulators who want to strangle carbon dioxide emissions.

Porsche Macan caught on video

Wed, 01 Aug 2012

The Porsche Macan – a Porsche Cayenne on a boil wash – has been spied out testing and caught on video. We’ve seen spy photos of the Porsche Macan before – Porsche’s take on the Audi Q5 – and they look more like a cut down Cayenne being used as a mule for the Macan’s underpinnings than an actual Macan. But it seems that the shots so far are actually the Macan as it’s heading for production, which means Porsche has, perhaps unsurprisingly, chosen the 911 school of car design as its inspiration for the Macan and just stuck a Cayenne on a boil wash.

Schumacher being taken out of coma

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER is being slowly brought out of his induced coma but a leading neurosurgeon has warned it remains too soon to determine his long-term prognosis. Seven-times Formula One world champion Schumacher, 45, has spent the last month in the University of Grenoble hospital fighting for his life after sustaining brain injuries following a skiing accident in the resort of Meribel. Concern was growing as to whether he would ever make a recovery, or even wake again, but manager Sabine Kehm has now provided official confirmation that steps are under way to bring him out of his coma following the accident on December 29.
