Item:   Vintage Automobile Fog Lamp

Description: For sale is a Vintage 1930’s DIETZ New York Model 510 Automobile Fog Lamp and Mounting Bracket.  Included is a G.E. Tractor Bulb #4419 which is 12 Volt which confuses me why it was even with the Fog Lamp because I believe this DIETZ is a 6-Volt Unit.  When I first found this Lamp, there was an “extra” Collar which I am including as well.  You’ll notice that the original collar is not secured onto the fog lamp.  That is for two reasons.  First, the bulb is untested and may not even work.  So, since the weight of the package w/o the bulb is cheaper you may not even want me to ship the bulb.  Secondly, the simple screw that cinches the collar shut holding the bulb in the casing is not present.  All you need of course is an adequately long enough screw/nut.  As you can see from the photos, this whole unit is red in color which appears to me as an older undercoating primer paint.   This Dietz Fog Lamp measures 6” in diameter.   I am sure my photos will best further describe this item.

Important Note:  So, if you purchase this listing, please let me know if you even want the bulb.  Depending on where you live, I may be able to give you a partial shipping refund if you choose to not take the UNTESTED bulb.  My price for the DIETZ has nothing to do with the bulb but including it does effect the shipping cost which is based on including it.

Condition:   On a scale of 1 – 10 (Ten being New in Package Only), I can confidently grade this item’s condition to be a solid 8.   Overall and Especially for being 50+ Years Old, this Dietz Fog Lamp Casing and Bracket is in Very Good- Excellent Condition.  There are Absolutely Zero Dents/Dings.  The Ground Wire inside the casing is securely attached.   This unit is No Less than 90% Immaculate.  I do not sell dirty items.  My photos are an accurate depiction of this item’s TRUE Condition.

This Item WITH the Bulb weighs 3 Pounds (Packed).

All  Shipments automatically come with Free Tracking.  Priority Shipments come with $50 Insurance.  The USPS Tracking# will be entered into the listing immediately after I ship your package.

Shipping is based SOLELY on Dimensions of Packed Item & Buyer’s Zip Code.  I do NOT and am totally against profiting on shipping

Shipping:  90% of all items will be shipped in 36hrs or less (usually the same/next day) unless the item is paid for on a Saturday.  The Post Office is closed on Sunday so shipping will begin again on Monday.  No international shipping unless done through Ebay’s “Global Shipping Program”.

ReturnsReturns are accepted if the item is not as described or something happens to the item during shipment.   Returns due to negligence on my part will have shipping refunded and return shipping paid for as well.  I think that is only fair.

Thank you for looking at my listing.   If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

PLEASE NOTE:  I do my best to provide you with the best values.  Customers normally pay only the actual shipping charges as determined by the shipping company (usually USPS).   Please E-mail specific questions prior to bidding.   If any problems arise, please give me the opportunity to fix it first before you leave negative feedback.   Returns are accepted ONLY if it is determined that the item is significantly different from what was described in the listing.  I am very proud of my long history of customer satisfaction.  Please read my feedback.  Many of the items I sell are vintage, so it is sometimes impractical  to describe every flaw and imperfection, but I will try to give the most accurate description I can.   Photos are an important part of the description;  questions and clarifications are encouraged and welcome.

TERMS:   The buyer will please contact me within 3 days either with payment or notification as to when payment will be sent.  Payment must be received within 5 days after the auction ends.  Insurance will be included on breakable or valuable items ($40 or higher), or if requested prior to payment.   I highly suggest you choose expedited shipping on fragile items.  The shorter amount of time it is in the Postal System, the better chance it will arrive safely.  I pack each item as if it is the “holy grail” but accidents do happen from time to time.   By purchasing this item, you are agreeing to take photos of the item and the box if it arrives damaged.  I need those photos for Postal Insurance Claims.  The Tracking # will be added to the listing as soon as I return home from shipping the item.

I am always striving for a five star feedback.

My goal is to make you happy with your purchase.

So, if for any reason you are unhappy

please contact me before leaving any negative feedback.

I always leave positive feedback for my buyers

and I am hoping to earn five stars from you.

Thank you!

Lincoln shoots for a happier ending after troubled MKZ launch

Fri, 03 May 2013

How far off track did the launch of the redesigned Lincoln MKZ get? The car, whose chassis bears the burden of a once-thriving luxury brand now trying to prove it's still relevant -- originally was supposed to start arriving at dealerships last fall, around the same time Steven Spielberg's movie Lincoln was hitting theaters around the country. But by the time many customers who had ordered an MKZ actually got their cars, Lincoln already was out on DVD.
