We recently purchased the contents of a barn from a life long collector of vintage car parts. Check out our other auctions and "The Old Car Parts Store" for similar items that have been in storage for the past 40+ years.

Here is a VINTAGE GLOVE BOX LOCK FROM A 1941 PACKARD. This lock mechanism was recently removed from a parts car and it is in very good used condition. The catch lever / arm has some mild wear on the very end but should not be an issue. The button pushes in and releases out with spring loaded resistance as it should. We do not have the key for this lock but it will still function as a means for opening and closing the glove box. If you need to be able to lock it then I believe you can have a key made or the tumblers reset. Please check out the pictures and email us with questions before bidding. The McLaren MP4-12C tackles the Goodwood hillclimb As we reported last week, McLaren used the Goodwood Festival of Speed to give their new road car – the McLaren MP4-12C – its first proper public outing. But they didn’t settle for just having a static display or even a poodle round his Lordship’s grounds for the benefit of the crowd. They brought along their pair of F1 World Champions – Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton – to strut their stuff up the Goodwood hillclimb in the 12C.

BMW and Zagato tease next collaboration

BMW has teased the first image of its BMW Zagato roadster, the second collaboration between the automaker and the Italian design studio, which is set to be unveiled this weekend at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Earlier this year at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy, BMW unveiled its Zagato-designed coupe, which featured the carrozeria's signature double-bubble roof, the high, fastback Kamm tail and full, blown surfaces. The BMW Zagato Coupé was the first collaboration between Zagato and BMW, and was the first Italian-designed car to wear the blue and white propeller since the 2003 Bertone Birusa.
