The front and back covers are worn and damaged with rough edges, bent corners, tear at the spine, dirt marks and fading. The inside has dirt marks, bent corners, rough edges and some water damage along the edge.”

You are looking at a "VINTAGE 1942 STUDEBAKER CHAMPION OWNER'S GUIDE WITH MILEAGE RATIONING RECORD & BELLINGHAM TIRE INSPECTION".  This item is in fair used condition for its age, but it does have some cosmetic issues. The front and back covers show considerable wear and damage which includes rough edges, bent corners, tear at the spine, dirt marks and fading. The inside has rough edges, bent corners, dirt marks and a small amount of water damage along the edge. There is no writing in the manual and all of the information is clearly legible. This item would make an excellent addition to your collection of vintage manuals

Gooding & Co. is set to auction what it claims is "America's most elegant automobile," a 1931 Duesenberg Model J by Murphy, at the company's 2011 Pebble Beach auction in August. Not to be confused with any run-of-the-mill Duesenberg Model J, this particular car is known as the Whittell Coupe after its owner, California playboy Captain George Whittell Jr.
