Perfect for the mancave or decoration of any vintage aircraft enthusiast's area, up for auction is a nice skin section from a 1946 Cessna.  If you love old Cessna's, this is a great piece for your room or office!

It is the perfect size to go over a door and extend along the top border of a wall.  It's very long.  This one measures about 87 inches in length and 10 inches in height.  Skin is aluminum and what I am assuming is the original paint.  Paint is an aged white and red color.  I haven't cleaned it up or anything.  It has scratches, marks, and some paint peeled off as seen in the pictures but that's part of the great patina!  I have a second piece similar to this one listed in another auction if you are interested in a 2nd piece.

I think it will roll up nicely in a large box to ship and that's what I will price it as.  I'm sure it will still flatten nicely once out of the box.  If you would like it shipped another way, I'm happy to oblige but it may increase the price.

If you have any questions, please ask before bidding and I will be happy to answer as best as I can.  Foreign bidders may contact me for a shipping quote.  Payment due within 48 hours please.  Thanks

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

The Ferrari 250 GTO was already the most expensive car in the world ever sold: now, it has cemented its position as reports emerge of an example selling for a staggering £32 million ($50.3m). That’s an increase of almost 50% on the selling price of the former record-setting 250 GTO, an example built for Sir Stirling Moss and sold in 2012. The latest deal is a private transaction and both the identity of the new owner and the location of the car are being kept secret.

Electric cars enjoyed one of the best months of sales in June 2013

Fri, 26 Jul 2013

If you think you've been seeing more Teslas and Nissan Leafs on the streets, it's not your imagination -- there really are more of them on our roads. Just in the month of June of this year, almost 9,000 plug-in electric vehicles have been sold in the U.S. This adds to more than 110,000 plug-in electric vehicles that have been sold in this country in the last two and a half years, the Electrification Coalition reports.
