Vintage original 10 " X 13 1/2 ", November 1947 SATURDAY EVENING POST magazine advertisement in fair condition (examine scans before bidding) for THE 1948 CHEVROLET TRUCKS. 2nd scan shows all of the AD. 3rd scan shows reverse with PALL MALL CIGARETTE advertisement. Copy reads in part : " They're the talk of the coffee stops! ... New Advance-Design CHEVROLET TRUCKS with the Cab that "Breathes" ..." Chevrolet resumed civilian truck production in August, 1945. The so-called 'Advance-Design' trucks began production in May 1947. The illustration shows no vent windows so I'm not sure this one is a 1947 or 1948.

M1 motorway changes 'risk lives'
Wed, 15 Jan 2014THE PROPOSED changes to the M1 motorway could put drivers’ lives at risk due to the removal of the hard shoulder, according to campaigners. The Association of British Drivers (ABD) says the lack of a continuous hard shoulder, combined with many vehicles' lack of a spare wheel, is a recipe for danger. The Highways Agency is currently assessing options for the M1 between junctions 28 and 35A that include a reduction in speed limit to 60mph to cut emissions pollution.
