Vintage original 10 1/4 " X 13 1/2 ", September 11, 1948, SATURDAY EVENING POST magazine advertisement in good condition (examine scans before bidding) for THE 1948 CHEVROLET TRUCKS. 2nd scan shows all of the AD. 3rd scan shows reverse with AVONDALE MILLS advertisement. Copy reads in part : " YOU CAN'T BEAT CHEVROLET TRUCKS ! ... New Advance-Design Trucks Are Better from Every Angle!... CHEVROLET - and ONLY Chevrolet - IS FIRST!..." Chevrolet resumed civilian truck production in August, 1945. The so-called 'Advance-Design' trucks began production in May 1947. The illustration shows no vent windows but I think this one is a 1948.

Whos Where: Peter Schreyer to head Kia Design
Mon, 31 Jul 2006In what's regarded as a major boost for Korean car maker Kia, it has been confirmed that Peter Schreyer will be moving from Volkswagen AG to lead Kia's global design operation. Schreyer will oversee the design activities of the company's regional design centers in Frankfurt, Los Angeles and Tokyo as well as the Namyang Design Center in Korea. While Schreyer's move to Kia comes across as a big surprise for many within automotive design circles, his departure from Volkswagen doesn't.

Thu, 05 Dec 2013Almost immediately after the Ford Mustang debuted, buyers could choose from three body styles -- a hardtop, a rag-top convertible and a fastback (which actually came out a few months later than the hardtop and convertible). We already knew that the 2015 Mustang will arrive as a fastback (sorry, notchback partisans), but Ford has just announced that a drop-top version is also in the works. Pictures of the convertible sport a shiny "5.0" badge on the side and and chrome "GT" badge on the back, but we assume all the standard engines -- the 5.0-liter V8, 3.7-liter V6 and that new 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo-four -- will be offered.
SRT8 Charger Super Bee and Challenger Yellow Jacket readied for L.A. auto show
Wed, 09 Nov 2011Dodge--or more accurately, the new SRT division--is bringing updated versions of past icons to the Los Angeles auto show. On Nov. 16, the 2012 Charger SRT8 Super Bee will break cover along with its partner in crime, the Challenger SRT8 Yellow Jacket.
