We've sold over 300 vintage tailgates that customers use in restorations and repurpose into benches, tables, fences or signs. We generally have several different makes and models, so be sure to view our other auctions and check back often…you never know what Pete will find. There is a reason they are so popular…the size makes them the perfect bench back and the old worn paint and random dents and dings give them unique character; the patina of the oxidized metal can only be produced by time and the elements. This tailgate came off an old 50’s Chevy and has a incredible "grunge" finish with original worn turquoise, yellow, white paint and oxidized metal. (Use the zoom feature for an accurate visual description). Fortunately, we're from dry old Kansas and the metal is still sound...really good condition for an old tailgate, and the finish is one of my favorites! 50 3/4" x 19 1/2". |

MyFord Touch added to 2014 Ford Fiesta
Mon, 26 Nov 2012The newest version of MyFord Touch will be available in the 2014 Ford Fiesta when it debuts next year. It will feature a 6.5-inch screen in the small car's center console. The company's SYNC technology will also hit its five-year anniversary next year.

Thu, 24 Apr 2014The new Toyota Aygo (pictured) gets new engine tech The new Toyota Aygo has only just arrived as Toyota’s part of the city car triumvirate which includes the new Citroen C1 and new Peugeot 108, but its already set to get improvements. Toyota have been playing with the little 1.0 litre three-cylinder that lurks under the bonnet of the majority of Aygos, and have managed to do some serious tweaking. The tweaks include a higher compression ratio of 11.5:1, a cooled exhaust gas recirculation system, changes to the timing, better combustion, less friction and lower weight.

But F1 isn’t a popularity contest, so Vettel’s arrogance – channelled in to his driving – sees him sitting in a commanding position, once again, in the drivers championship – 60 points clear of Fernando Alonso – as we go in to the Korean Grand Prix. And if this morning’s display is anything to go by, the only thing that will stop Vettel taking yet another drivers championship is mechanical failure.
