We try to list the years and models as best we can with the information we have or are given. But for your own sake, if the part does not look correct to your application, research before bidding. Please do not wait till you receive the part and come to the conclusion it is the wrong part and expect to be reimbursed for return shipping costs. QUOTES: For an accurate quote, please email me with your city, state, zip code and phone number. It would be easiest for me to call you with quotes.

SHIPPING: I use a variety of shipping companies. I will “shop around” for the best shipping price if contacted by buyer. Please do not bid if you are not happy with the shipping cost. I have expenses with shipping and handling as well (shop supplies, gas, special ordered boxes, employee wages etc).

USPS: For items between the size of an emblem to the size of a five-gallon oil can.

UPS: For items between the size of children’s tricycle to the size of a tailgate.

Fastenal: is a great resource for shipping larger items on pallets. I will supply the pallet for a charge of $25. Doors, fenders, cabs, gas pumps and other large items ship between $125 and $300 through Fastenal. The only downfall with using Fastenal, is they do not ship to the western states (California, Oregon, Washington).  I shipped a six-foot tall gas pump two states away for $150! There are over 2600 stores in the US. If there is a store near you, they will most likely ship to it.

Spee-Dee Delivery: Spee-dee delivery offers very competitive prices. I sent an oil pump through them for $8 versus UPS for $130. Spee-Dee delivery only delivers to Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

For shipment of vehicles: Normally ship for $1.00 per mile from Thief River Falls, Mn. I have been using the same shipping company for quite some time. We are negotiable with vehicle deliveries if we have more items going out with the shipping company.

For international shipping: I will ship smaller items international. I will not ship larger items such as car hoods. Please contact me prior to purchasing.

Volkswagen XL Sport Concept gets Ducati power: Paris 2014

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

The Volkswagen XL Sport Concept (pictured) gets Ducati power The Volkswagen XL 1 may well be an impressive ‘Supercar’ (that’s super-economical, rather than plain ‘super’), but it’s a daft amount of money and, unless you’re trying to make a ‘Green’ statement, not for everyone. But this Volkswagen XL Sport Concept is a more appealing car – both visually and mechanically – as VW take the XL 1 and rework it in to a sports car with a little help from Ducati. Because under the skin of the XL Sport lies a 197bhp V2 that’s come from Ducati (just as we reported a year ago) and delivers 197bhp through a seven-speed dual-clutch ‘box, with a reduction gear between engine and gearbox to boost torque, revs to 1,000 rpm and can get to 62mph in 5.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 157mph.
