We've sold over 300 vintage tailgates that customers use in restorations and repurpose into benches, tables, fences or signs.   We generally have several different makes and models, so be sure to view our other auctions and check back often…you never know what Pete will find.

There is a reason they are so popular…the size makes them the perfect bench back and the old worn paint and random dents and dings give them unique character; the patina of the oxidized metal can only be produced by time and the elements.

This tailgate came off an old 50’s Ford and has a TERRIFIC "grunge" finish with original worn red paint and oxidized metal. (Use the zoom feature for an accurate visual description).  The embossed letters really stand out with the original worn white paint.  The bottom rail suffered some rust-out...adding a bar is a good option if you need stability.  There are a few random dents...it hauled plenty of lumber, metal and hay...you get to see the history.  This could still be used on a ratrod or would make a terrific bench or wall-hanger. 52 1/2" x 20 3/8".

The mini-MPV will retain its B-pillar so that structural integrity is maintained and so the rear doors can be opened independently of the front ones.'The rear-hinged doors are both lighter and less expensive to engineer than sliding doors,' said Sara Nicholson, GM's European product manager for compact cars.

Within the next two years Infiniti will launch an electric vehicle based on Nissan’s Leaf. Infiniti’s EV won’t just be a re-badged Leaf with an Infiniti grille, though it will borrow heavily from Nissan’s electric car beneath the skin.

Following on from a front three-quarter sketch released to the press last week, Lexus has given us a good view of its Premium Compact Concept from the rear - along with its proper name: LF-Ch. Equipped with Lexus's Hybrid Drive system, this BMW 1 Series rival will be able to run on both electric and gasoline when it goes on sale in 2010. The car's full volumes, raked-back windscreen and aggressive new variation on Lexus's corporate nose are visible from the sketch, while the new rear image confirms that the newcomer will combine the looks of a coupe with the practicality of four doors.
