Audi A3 e-Tron Hybrid revealed at Shanghai
Tue, 19 Apr 2011Audi A3 e-Tron Hybrid Shanghai - yet another e-Tron Concept Where would we be at a major motor show without Audi and an e-Tron concept? So far we’ve had an Audi e-tron trundled out in everything from a super mini to a super car, and with a range of powertrains from a very sensible range-extender in the Audi A1 e-Tron to the frankly ludicrous claims of the first R8 e-Tron delivering 3,319lbs/ft of torque. What we get for Shanghai is the Audi A3 e-Tron.
Mitsubishi tease three new concepts for the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show
Tue, 08 Oct 2013The three Mitsubishi Concepts heading for the Tokyo Motor Show The European Motor Shows may be over for 2013, but the Tokyo Motor Show is still to come (first public day 23rd November), and Mitsubishi are already teasing new concepts for their home show (above). All three concepts preview the future of Mitsubishi’s design language, and all three are SUVs/Crossovers of one kind or another. The biggest of the trio of concepts is the Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV, a proper full-size plug-in hybrid SUV, which Mitsubishi says offer dynamic driving and features MMC’s S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) to deliver better handling and stability on-road and still be properly capable off-road.
Toyota Yaris Hybrid (2012) first official pictures
Mon, 09 Jan 2012This is the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid, and although it’s been unveiled on the same day as the world’s motoring media descends upon Detroit for the 2012 North American International Auto Show, it's not there. Instead, the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid won’t actually appear until the Geneva show in early March 2012. Presumably the Toyota Yaris Hybrid is even cleaner and greener than the pious Prius?
