We've sold over 300 vintage tailgates that customers use in restorations and repurpose into benches, tables, fences or signs.   We generally have several different makes and models, so be sure to view our other auctions and check back often…you never know what Pete will find.

There is a reason they are so popular…the size makes them the perfect bench back and the old worn paint and random dents and dings give them unique character; the patina of the oxidized metal can only be produced by time and the elements.

This tailgate came off an old Ford and I think will fit 1967-1972, but check your measurements. There is a dent near the handle, but it still works. This is straight and solid with a little pitting on the back in one area (see pictures) We removed the insert so you could see the tailgate is embossed behind...the panel is included. This could still be used on a pickup.  66 7/8 x 21 1/2".

McLaren P1: First interior photos arrive

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

Ahead of its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next month, McLaren has sent us the first interior photos of their new hypercar. As we already know, the P1 isn’t following the almost unique 1+2 seating concept of the McLaren F1, but has opted to make it a regular two seater. That means that there will be no right hand drive cars – they’ll all be left hand drive – and McLaren are left deciding how to make the P1′s cockpit unique.

Now Frank-Peter Arndt, BMW's board member in charge of production, has confirmed the new BMW X4 will be built at Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina, USA.
