Vintage 1968 Harley Davidson Fastback Helmet on 2040-parts.com
Grover, Missouri, US
1968 Harley Davidson Fastback helmet. Good shape. Some dents, scratches, and chips, but shell is sound. Lining is intact without tears. Leather straps are good, but could use a leather conditioner. Foam padding has dried, and is flaking off, but all original padding exists. Binding around edges is intact, shows wear on bottom edge. For some reason, previous owner removed the top half of the "Harley Davidson Fastback" sticker on rear, Leaving only "Fastback". Side reflector triangle stickers on sides mostly intact. Certification tags (1968 & SHCA) present, along with a "S" tag (my hat size is 7 3/8", and helmet fits, though tight). A very cool, quality, vintage helmet. Please see photos, and feel free to contact with any questions. Thank you.

MOT test scrapped for Classic Cars
Mon, 21 May 2012MOTs scrapped for Classic Cars The Department for Transport has announced it is scrapping MOT tests for cars registered before 1960. In a move that probably won’t make much difference to owners – but will at least cut down on red tape – the Department of Transport has announced that from 18th November 2012 owners of cars registered before 1960 will no longer require an annual MOT. The argument for the change is that owners of classic and historic cars have a much lower accident and MOT failure rate than other vehicles on the road.
New Jaguar XJ Supersport Diesel coming?
Sun, 30 May 2010The Jaguar XJ Supersport TDV8 - expect it in showrooms in 2011 We’ve known for quite a while that Jaguar Land Rover were going to start putting a new V8 diesel in to their cars. The 3.6 litre TDV8 which goes in the Land Rover is a very good lump (made by Ford at Dagenham) with some decent horses and a nice fat lump of torque. But the introduction by Jaguar of the 3.0 litre diesel and its subsequent introduction in to Land Rover’s cars meant the 3.6 litre’s days were numbered.
