Citroen DS5 - the tease begins Yet another new car being teased in the run up to the Shanghai Motor Show, and this time it’s instalment number three in the new Citroen DS range – the Citroen DS5. Following in the footsteps of the DS3 and DS4, the DS5 will be the biggest modern DS to date and the closest in size to the iconic Citroen DS cars of the past. Based on the Citroen C5, the DS5 will be innovative as well as chic if it lives up to the promise of Citroen’s intent.

JAC Vision IV concept (w/ Gallery)

JAC revealed this four-door Vision IV concept at the Beijing Motor Show.  Designed by JAC's Turin-based design team, the concept showcases both a hybrid powertrain and a new A-segment chassis that houses a lithium ion battery in the center tunnel. The styling is meant to convey both a sense of 'natural electricity' and the fluid, natural strokes of Chinese calligraphy. New smart fortwo electric drive enters production

Mercedes has announced that the third generation 2012 smart fortwo electric drive has gone in to production. Mercedes may, very sensibly, be pursuing hydrogen fuel cells as the real future of motoring but they still have an eye on electric cars as urban runarounds. That urban EV takes shape as the Smart EV, and the third generation smart fortwo ED (electric drive) debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March and has now gone in to production.
