Jaguar B99 by Bertone: Still looks like Jaguar past to us

Wed, 02 Mar 2011

The Bertone B99 Jaguar Concept – Still looks like a pastiche to us With Jaguar looking more than seriously at a New Small Jaguar to take the BMW 3 Series on at its own game, it seems almost certain Jaguar’s had a part to play in the design of Bertone’s take on a smaller Jaguar – the Bertone B99. Rolls Royce had its most successful year EVER in 2013

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

Rolls Royce has its most successful year EVER in 2013 The 110th anniversary of Rolls Royce in 2013 is a record in itself, but RR have capped that by delivering a set of sales figures that are the best ever. Big sales growth across the glove saw sales in the Middle East rise by 17 per cent, China by 11 per cent and strong sales in other markets like Germany, Japan and Canada, with China and the US remaining the most significant markets. Those extra sales have been helped by the network of Rolls Royce dealers rising to a record 120 with a further 15 new dealerships added in 2013 and more planned for 2014.

Jaguar Land Rover in talks to buy Aston Martin

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Talks have taken place between Tata – owners of Jaguar Land Rover – and the Kuwait Investment Dar – owners of Aston Martin. We reported a year ago that Aston Martin needed a big car maker behind it to have any chance of survival, and just last week the world caught up with that story as it was revealed the Kuwait Investment Dar – majority shareholder in Aston Martin – was seeking a buyer for Aston Martin. We said a year ago that Jaguar Land Rover was the best fit as a buyer for Aston Martin, but we doubted JLR would want to go back to being the poor relation to AML – as it was in the days of Ford’ ownership of the brands – where a Jag was a poor man’s Aston.
