Auction for 1986 Bell Tourstar II size XL I bought new in 1986   Used for Drag racing so not all beat up like a Motorcycle helmet with lots of use.   All decals easily removed. Name on back highlighted with sign paint.  Should be easily removed with thinner.  No deep scratches just minor scuffs should all buff out. I'll leave that to the next owner. Shield clear and detent still crisp. Original bell sticker perfect. Inside still in nice shape and lining still has nice info, date of manufacture and Made in CA. Would still be cool for vintage races but I'm bald now and it's too loose. Beat up helmets like this that have been sitting in a box of junk sell for $25-$50. This helmet has been in a helmet bag in my closet for over 20 years.

MINI Coopers recalled in US over fires

The MINI Cooper is being recalled over fires Following an investigation started in October, BMW in the US has issued a recall for 88,911 MINI Coopers built between 2007 and 2011. Back in October we reported that the MINI Cooper S was under investigation in the US after a spate of fires. ‘Spate’ may be a bit strong as, at that time, there had been a total of just 12 fires reported.

Subaru Legacy concept (2013) first official pictures

By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 15 November 2013 16:45 This is the new Subaru Legacy concept car, which will be displayed at the Los Angeles motor show later in November 2013. Usually, we’re pretty wary of styling concepts, given how much poetic license they allow designers, before their sexy, swooping designs are diluted to meet crash and aerodynamic benchmarks. This Legacy’s design theme is its trademark ‘Symmetrical All-wheel drive’ system.

Fewer commuters but longer journeys

PEOPLE ARE TRAVELLING further to get to work but the number of commuters is falling as more staff work from home, according to official figures. Based on Census statistics, the average distance travelled to work in England and Wales increased from 8.3 miles (13.4km) in 2001 to 9.32 miles (15km) in 2011. Those living in the Midlands and south west England had the largest increase in average distance travelled between 2001 and 2011 - going an extra 1.36 miles (2.2km).
