7th L'argus European Design competition announced

On 21 June 2008, French magazine L'Argus de l'automobile will launch its 7th European Design competition. Students will have to imagine a new vehicle based on the theme: "Invent a vehicle that is useful for society". The deadline for submissions is December 21, 2008.

ACCORDING to the latest AA Fuel Price Index, petrol prices rose in January by the biggest amount in recent times. Although there is considerable Government lobbying to slow down fuel price rises, there appears to be no immediate respite for private motorists. Saab files for bankruptcy

Struggling Swedish manufacturer, Saab, has finally filed for bankruptcy. What may well prove to be the closing chapter in this ongoing saga could see the iconic brand laid to rest following months of uncertainty. A statement by parent company, Swedish Automobile NV (Swan) announced that: ‘After having received the recent position of GM on the contemplated transaction with Saab Automobile, Youngman informed Saab Automobile that the funding to continue and complete the reorganization of Saab Automobile could not be concluded.
