Volvo to trial self-driving cars on public roads

Volvo Volvo has announced that it will soon begin a trial of 100 self-driving cars on the public roads around the Swedish city of Gothenburg. While many other carmakers – and Google – have been experimenting with this kind of autonomous driving technology, the ‘Drive Me – Self-driving cars for sustainable mobility’ project is set to see driverless cars mix with real traffic on real roads. Lexus ES sedan production coming to Kentucky

Toyota Motor Corp. plans to invest $360 million to bring production of the Lexus ES sedan to Kentucky, making it the first model from Toyota's premium brand to be built in the United States as the carmaker pushes to localize more manufacturing. Under the plan announced Friday in New York by CEO Akio Toyoda, Toyota will boost annual capacity at its Georgetown, Ky., plant by 50,000 vehicles to accommodate ES output.

Two new models, actually: the Continental GT V8 S and GTC V8 S, and Bentley has released details and images a week before their public debut at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show. Bentley engineers have managed to squeeze a bit more power out of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, bringing the horsepower rating from 500 up to 521.
