Vintage Anti Theft Door Lock Knobs. New old stock in unopened package, but the package is old and the paper card is wavy and has some creases.

The card reads; No. 428C Anti Theft Door Lock Knobs.

Opens with your finger…but not with a coat hanger. Beautify your car.

Bright durable knobs for the following cars: General Motors 1959 to date;

Ford, Mercury, T-Bird 1965 to date.

The package is not dated so I am not sure when “to date” is, I am guessing these are from the 1970’s to mid 1980’s.

The back of the card reads; Hollywood Accessories Made in Hong Kong.

Thank You for looking, and please read to the bottom of this description.

Next-generation Chevy Volt to have 60-mile electric range?

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

On the heels of the recently announced price cut for the 2014 Volt, General Motors chief executive Dan Akerson is suggesting that we may see a Volt with 60-mile electric range in three or four years. In an interview with Bloomberg, Akerson suggests that GM is hoping for a "significant" improvement in the extended-range Chevy's ability to run solely on electric power. “For something to be significant to me, I gotta get at least 20 percent improvement in performance," the CEO asserted.

Englon TXN from Geely. The new London Taxi? No Chance.

Mon, 12 Apr 2010

Englon TXN by Geely - supposedly on Tower Bridge A couple of weeks ago we regaled you with the sorry story of the London Cab falling in to Chinese hands. It wasn’t the most shocking story considering how feeble the London Cab has become in comparison to newer offerings like the Mercedes Taxi – which is taking a big chunk of sales from the traditional cab – but still sad to see the iconic London Taxi end up this way. London Taxis International already sourced most of the parts for the TX4 from China and just bolted them together here.

Concorso Italiano 2013: the non-Italian cars

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

This year as part of Concorso Italiano 2013, a display was introduced for British cars – and it then grew to become anything that isn’t Italian. As a result there was a healthy dose of American, British, German and French metal (and plastic) on display. And just for good measure there was also space for some Japanese classics too.
