This is an original Appleton Model S-550 spotlight.  It is in excellent original condition.  The chrome is bright and shiny, and there is no pitting.  The handle is not cracked or damaged, and it swivels easily.  It has the unique Firestone name embossed on the handle.  The on and off switch seems to work good.  The glass lens is in beautiful condition, with no scratches or chips.  It measures about 6-1/4" across.  It has the original wiring.  It has the mounting bracket with the template with instructions for mounting the light on your car.  The template mentions quite a few cars (see photos).  This spotlight is in above average condition.   

This spotlight can possibly be used on many years and makes of vintage cars, so please do your own research to make sure it will work for you.

Ferrari World Design Contest 2011 enters second phase

The Ferrari World Design Contest, launched in collaboration with Autodesk, has just completed the first phase of its selection process. With entries from over 50 international design schools, the contest saw more than 200 projects arrive at the supercar manufacturer's studios in Maranello. Seven design schools have now been selected as finalists.

Citroen has released pictures of their new midi-MPV, the C4 Picasso, which will make its debut in Paris next month. The design mixes C4 hatchback and the C-AirLounge concept with broken lines and full surfaces that have come to define contemporary Citroens. A total glass area of 6.4sqm (including optional sunroof) promises excellent visibility from what is claimed to be class-leading interior space.

Ford readying 350bhp Focus RS500

The Ford Focus RS is about to get faster. Next week the Blue Oval will unveil a limited edition Focus RS500 with close to 350bhp. Ahead of the reveal Ford has launched microsite with a video of the RS500 being driven round its Lommel Proving Ground in Belgium.
