Up for bid is a beautiful vintage pair of courtesy lights. These have decorative frosted glass. The front bezel covers brushed nickel plated brass. They measure approximately 4 7/16" X 2 17/32" at the tallest and widest points.

Application: I'm not sure of the exact application. Please do your own research.

Condition: These are in very good condition. They are NOS and have never been used, but have shelf wear from age and being stored without the box.

The frosted glass: is free of cracks or chips.

The bezel surrounds: look very good. There is some light luster loss revealing a bit of the brass under the surface finish.

The backs: looks solid.  There is some rust, but no weakness in the metal. The sockets are still there.

Everything looks to be here, but these have not been tested, so are sold as is.

Please take a look at the pictures provided. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. If you need more pictures, just let us know. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!

Concept Car of the Week: Bizzarrini Manta (1968)

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

In the latter half of 1965, Giotto Bizzarrini began working on a racing car designed to compete with the Ford GT40, Ferrari 250P and the Porsche 906. The result was the P538, his most sophisticated car to date. The first two examples built were fitted with Lamborghini V12 engines and sold to American buyers to compete in SCCA races, while the third used a highly modified 5.4-liter V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette.

Volkswagen give the VW XL1 Ducati power

Sun, 29 Sep 2013

Volkswagen give the VW XL1 Ducati power It’s more than two years since Volkswagen rolled out the VW XL1 Super Efficient Vehicle as a demonstration of how light weight and low power can make for extremely economical motoring. But the silly mpg VW quoted for the XL1 – 313mpg – comes at a fairly horrible price, with the news at Geneva this year that the XL1 is heading for limited production, but with a price tag likely to be around £100k. Bit it seems that VW has found a new use for the XL1, and this time it’s not about extreme economy but more about real performance.

LA Motor Show: Honda brings mass-volume hydrogen power closer

Thu, 21 Nov 2013

HONDA has showcased its next generation hydrogen fuel cell technology, which is the first to fit entirely within a traditional engine bay. A 60% increase in energy density and a 33% reduction in size have jointly allowed the creation of the new Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) concept, which has a range of roughly 300 miles and can be refuelled in about three minutes. With all its components in a single location, the FCEV benefits from huge freedom in design for the rest of the car.
