You are bidding on a replacement wooden knob for a Healey Sprite.  This is not dated so I do not know how old it is.  The condition is very good overall showing minimal wear and soiling.  There are no nicks or cracks to the wood and the threads do not appear to be worn.  I do not know for sure, but this is probably a gear shift knob.  The knob measures roughly 1 7/" tall and has a base diameter of about 7 /8".

I do not offer "Buy it Now" sales.  This will be a 7 day auction.  Payment is expected within 3 days following end of auction.  USPS Priority shipping cost is based on coast to coast mailing.  Depending on zip code actual shipping cost may be less.  Please pay on new invoice I send and not e-Bay's original invoice unless winning bidder is international.  All eligible international sales will go through e-Bay's Global Shipping Program. Depending on outcome of auction a signature confirmation may be required.   I am not a collector or a dealer and I do my best to describe items accurately and honestly.  Please e-mail me with any questions or concerns.

Detroit knows how to do car shows. Perhaps no area in the country outside of Pebble Beach can put on a multiday, multievent festival of sheetmetal in the manner in which the Motor City can. It's intrinsic, at times it's altruistic--but it's always about the cars.

Ford drives the Peel P50 in to the new Transit – and turns it around

Tue, 06 May 2014

The Peel P50 drives in to the new Ford Transit The new Ford Transit offers lots of room for ‘Stuff’, something Ford decided to demonstrate by enlisting the world’s smallest car to demonstrate. It may be simply a take on Jeremy Clarkson’s games with the Peel in and around the BBC Television Centre – and you don’t get John Humphries driving the Peel or Fiona Bruce (and her bottom) pushing it back out – but you do get a good idea of just how big the new Transit is. We’re not entirely sure that turning the Peel around in the Transit – and yes, this Peel is fitted with a reverse gear, unlike Clarkson’s – demonstrates the Transit is any bigger than just driving in and driving out would, but the endless faffing to achieve an about turn is an excuse to use some Benny Hill-esque music to pass the time.

Chicago Auto Show interactive web tour launches

Fri, 10 Feb 2012

Interactive media company 360° Revo and the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) has launched a web-based, interactive tour of the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. Automobile enthusiasts worldwide who could not make it to the show – the press days of which ran from 8-9 February – will be able to tour the exhibitions and even go inside specific vehicles featured at this year's show. This is the first time the CATA, producer of the Chicago Auto Show, and 360° Revo has worked together and with the media company's technology comes the ability for online users to navigate and explore the auto show floor and visit individual exhibits.
