Vintage 1920's Automobile Trunk or Fender Side Tool Box

Folks they sure don't make them as good as this anymore...
  • Every aspect of this box says "Heavy Steel Construction"
  • Elegant rounded edges with armored steel corners and beaded top and bottom edge lip.
  • Features sturdy riveted and spot welded steel.
  • Starting out with only minor surface rust originally, this box has been carefully sand blasted and recoated in primer.
  • Hinges are solidly constructed and move with ease as does the lock hasp.
  • There are small (1" long or so) dents and  and bends which can be repaired easily with dolly and hammer or left as is.
  • I suspect this box came from the front fender of a late 20's to early 30's Studebaker Erskine Sedan, but I am not certain.
  • Dimensions are: 19 long x 11-1/4 high x 10 deep. Four 3/8" mounting holes 16-3/4" x 7" square
  • Weighs approx. 18 lbs.
  • Put a lock on the hasp and never worry about anyone prying open this beast!
  • Originally I was going to use this as my Ford's tool storage but have decided to sell instead.

I SET INITIAL AUCTION PRICES LOW BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN ALLOWING THE MARKET (I.E. "YOU THE BIDDERS") SET THE PRICES OF MY ITEMS RATHER THAN ARTIFICIALLY INFLATING AUCTION AMOUNTS AS OTHERS DO. Caterham CDX Limited Edition: first pictures

Tue, 10 Jun 2008

By Dimitri Pesin First Official Pictures 10 June 2008 16:03 Caterham has returned to its K-series roots with a new version of its Seven, dubbed the CDX Limited Edition. Not a catchy moniker perhaps, but the new car has been built to commemorate 15 years of the Caterham Driving Experience (CDX) – the track days where you can drift or slalom a Seven. As well as the gloss black paint, plus decals along the sides mimicking the CDX cars, the big news is the return of the K-series powerplant delivering 135bhp through a five-speed ‘box.

Toyota EV concept confirmed for Detroit 2009 By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 23 December 2008 16:48 Toyota has (succinctly) announced that it will unveil a new battery-electric concept car at the Detroit motor show in January 2009. And that’s it – alongside a solitary teaser photo that’s all we’re getting out of the Japanese automotive giant for now. But a source inside Toyota GB confirmed to CAR that this concept is not the new Prius, and that the production version of the infamous petrol-electric hybrid will debut alongside this EV concept.
