Ian Callum stars in this video to the left - a preview of the forthcoming Jaguar XJ set to make its debut on July 9th this year. In his words: "The car is very modern, and it certainly meets up the expectations of people who understand design with a capital D, I have no doubt about that whatsoever." Callum goes on to describe the new XJ as a "very well crafted car," stating that it is "also a very designer led car". He asserts that the lines of the car have been reinterpreted in a different way "that actually is right and correct for the 21st century.

BMW has revamped the X5 with cosmetic tweaks and new engines Yesterday we reported on the first details of the 2010 / 2011 BMW X5. We knew the official information was due to come out today, but the first set of images had turned up – together with a fair bit of detail of the 2010 facelift for the X5 – so we thought you’d be interested in seeing what BMW had done to the X5. As expected, the information dropped in to our inbox in the early hours and – beyond proper sized pictures of the X5 – the detail we brought you yesterday was pretty much spot-on.

Marvel’s Captain America car by Daniel Simon [w/Video]

Automotive designer and futurist Daniel Simon has had his vehicle design from ‘Captain America: The First Avenger' featured in a short animation. This 10-wheeler 1942 supercharged V16 Coupe, the personal car of Marvel's villain Johann Schmidt (the Red Skull), is 7,620 mm long and was inspired by cars such as Mercedes' 540K and the G4. The director's instructions for the car's size  led to a truck chassis having to be used for the practical film version.
