Just acquired out of a local area estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice, 1970's era ~ ORIGINAL BATES OF CALIFORNIA " THE HUGGER " TWO TONE LEATHER CAFE RACER MOTORCYCLE JACKET ~. This is the only model of " THE HUGGER" we have ever seen. It has a very unique expandable accordion "RED" stripe running down the back on each side. This allows for the jacket to have a very tailored looking snug fit, which gives it a great look when worn. This is a size 42 but I believe that Vintage Bates jackets run a little on the small size. The jacket lying flat zipped up measures approximately: 20 inches across "pit to pit on front" by 18 inches across shoulder to shoulder on back, by 20 inches across at the waist by 28 inches long on back just below the collar to bottom and the sleeves are about 27 inches long. The condition is wonderful and it does not appear that this jacket has hardly ever been worn but a few times. The leather is exceptionally soft and pliable. There are no tears or repairs anywhere on the leather or on the original lining as well. The jacket retains all of its original Talon zippers on the pockets, sleeves and front, as well as all the original Bates labels.
