Vintage Buco right-hand side fiberglass motorcycle saddlebag and lid with steel mounting plate. The bag measures 5" wide and about 10 1/2" tall with the lid on and about 19" long overall. Weight is about 3 pounds. The last photo shows the lid has a crooked crack about 1 3/4" long near the top at the front area. The second to last photo shows a vertical crack in the top edge of the outside face of the bag about 2" long. Overall scratches, dirt and rust and the rubber parts are dried up and torn. The closure works as designed but there is no key to lock it. Photo shows a line of seven 1/8" diameter holes along the middle of the bottom. The amber colored glass tail-light is marked Griffin Lamp Company. The tail-light is not cracked. There is no rubber seal around the edge of the tail-light and it fits very loosely in the metal frame. The name Buco is marked on the fiberglass and on the metal rivets. The steel mounting plate has been altered by a previous owner but it still fits over the two studs. Shipping from Ohio to California is $15, may be less if closer.

U.S. unveils blueprint to tackle driver distraction

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Thursday the agency isn't looking at new regulations to address distracted driving, but rather is calling on automakers to step up voluntary efforts to combat risks with new technologies and education. LaHood, who's made distracted driving a top automotive safety priority of the Obama administration, said he's met with the CEOs of numerous automakers and feels confident "they're committed to safety." He even praised Subaru of America for a TV ad that highlighted the dangers of driver distraction. The commercial featured a father talking to his teenage daughter about the risks of using a cell phone while on the road.
