This auction is for a vintage Cal Custom valve cover, not sure what it fits--maybe Chevy--and there is just one--great shop art item, to make a car for valve cover racing or maybe even a replacement piece for your rat rod if you already have a mate or suitable match.  It is made of aluminum with fins along the top edge, has a reddish-orange painted finish; marked inside with "Cal Custom; Gardinia, Calif; 40-2000"; almost 20" long overall, 4 1/4" across center to center at holes and 8 7/8" lengthwise center to center between holes. Jeep Grand Cherokee's 2013 model year will be short

The Jeep Grand Cherokee will have a shortened 2013 model year so that in January the Chrysler Group can introduce a diesel engine and eight-speed automatic transmission for the 2014 model, internal Chrysler sources say. Dealer orders for 2013 Grand Cherokees began this month. The 2013 model, which will begin production in August, will continue with the five-speed automatic that the Grand Cherokee has had since mid-2010.

Car insurance cost at four-year low

THE COST of insuring a car has fallen to a four-year low as motorists benefit from a record 19% drop in average premiums compared with a year ago. The Confused.com car insurance price index, in association with Towers Watson, reveals the average cost of comprehensive car insurance in the first quarter stood at £596, a drop of £140 against this time last year. The figure, including a reduction of 7.5% on the previous quarter, means that average premiums have dipped below £600 for the first time since late 2009.
