Ford Announces Dates For 2014 Free Driver Training
Mon, 01 Sep 2014FORD has revealed the latest dates and locations for its 2014 Driving Skills for Life free training programme. The programme is targeted at inexperienced drivers who have recently passed their driving test, highlighting some of the dangers they are exposed to as new drivers and how they can be minimised. This includes using a mobile phone at the wheel, managing emergencies and night and wet-weather driving.
Bring a Trailer: 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta
Wed, 01 Jun 2011Our friends at Bring a Trailer are offering a gorgeous unrestored 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Normale. The 65,000-mile California car is claimed to be “one of the most original 101-series Giulietta Sprints in existence today with all-original interior, mostly original paint, perfect gauges, factory engine-compartment components, no accidents, and straight chrome and trim.” Curiously, the engine and transmission were removed and rebuilt in 1975 but were never reinstalled. Pruett marks Indy 500's anniversary with a limited-edition wine
Tue, 10 May 2011Race-car driver Scott Pruett is also a winemaker, and his vineyard is releasing a limited-edition Napa Cabernet to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500. Pruett and his wife, Judy, opened their vineyard in 2006 in Auburn, Calif., on the eastern slope of the northern Sierra Mountains. They create small-lot, hand-crafted premium wines.
