Vintage Car Emblem Horn Button Wheel Hood Ornament OLDSMOBILE Globe; circa 1950-51. Vintage Car Auto Emblem; Hood Ornament / Radiator Cap / Horn Button; Steering Wheel Center; I believe this is from an Oldsmobile. It is very unusual. It is numbered #64T on the back; and the back is a steel geared cog. On the front, there is a starburst and a large 3 D Globe with halo. It seems to be in good using condition except for some crazing to the clear glass area and some oxidation to the edge of the metal rim. But nothing seems to be broken or damaged. Size of disc is 3 3/4" diameter; overall depth is 1 3/4" not including bolt. Shipping in the continental US is $10.

Chevrolet Volt prices announced

Wed, 28 Jul 2010

GM has revealed that the Volt hybrid could cost $33,500 (£21,000) in the US after government tax credits, making it nearly £2000 cheaper than Nissan’s Leaf electric car. The Volt’s List price is $41,000 (£26,300) but qualifies for a subsidy thanks to its low emissions. A basic Volt comes with Bluetooth and sat-nav but buyers can add leather seats and steering wheel, heated seats, rear camera, polished wheels and park assist.

Batches of cars from the extensive collection of Texas attorney John O’Quinn--one of the most impressive collections of classic sheetmetal since William Harrah’s--will cross the auction block this spring at a pair of RM Auction events. O’Quinn, a noted attorney who died in a car crash last October, assembled a collection of at least 800 cars, and it could number as many as 1,300. Fifty-five cars from the collection will be sold at the RM auction on March 13 at Amelia Island, Fla.
