Tue, 28 Jun 20112011 Jeep Grand Cherokee UK - Diesel only Interestingly, the pile of blurb we got in from Jeep UK on the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee made the assertion that Jeep “…invented the premium SUV (sport-utility vehicle) segment with the introduction of the Jeep Grand Cherokee.” Really? Still, we have a soft-spot for the big Yank-Tank that is the Jeep Grand Cherokee so we’ll put that statement down to nothing more than a bit of PR hubris, rather than a genuine claim. Much of what we know already about the new Grand Cherokee since it was revealed over a year ago remains unchanged with its arrival in the UK.

Originally founded in 1972 by Dr. Philip Hessburg and his associates in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, out of a genuine appreciation for fine automobiles, the DIO gives credit to the designers who have given these cars their individual beauty.
Christopher Reitz joins Riversimple

In a statement on Riversimple's website, Reitz said: "This really is a step into something different, to design cars that really are the future. Increasingly I have felt that it does not make much sense to move tons of steel around, using a lot of fuel and resources.
