Vintage Chris Craft Perko Red/green Boat Bow Light Mounted On Teak/mahogany Wood on 2040-parts.com
Brooksville, Florida, US
Offered here as is... Antique Chris Craft Perko Red/Green Boat Bow Light mounted on teak or maybe mahogany wood. We found this piece at a fine Florida estate and were told it came off a Chris Craft vessel. It does have holes on each end of the (teak/mahogany wood) as though it would mount to the bow of a boat. There are minor age cracks in wood on each end. The guy we got this from said he removed it from the Chris Craft boat himself and said it did work when it was removed.
This piece is all ONE Piece- the switch on top clicks fine but this Perko navigational light was not possible for us to test. Offered as is... Large- measuring about 23" across and sits about 8" high, and about 8 1/2" to approx 9 1/2" at its widest point. Weighs just over 9 lbs.
Please LOOK at ALL Photos, and if you need to see more- please ask! Feel free to send an offer... We are not exactly sure what year this piece is from- but from the way the Perko logo is imprinted on back side of navigation light, it would indicate this nautical lamp is very old- maybe dates back as far as the 1940's. We are not maritime/nautical experts and if you are looking at this piece, maybe you are :) If you have any questions or comments- please kindly send a message and we will reply as best we can and do so promptly. Thanks!

Nissan scales back on auto shows
Fri, 27 Feb 2009Nissan said on Friday that it will not participate in some of the major auto shows in its new business year starting April 1, Reuters is reporting. The reason: to save money. This means no Nissan display at the show in Frankfurt in September and probably another absence in Detroit in January 2010.
OnStar 'ignition block' disables stolen vehicles
Tue, 21 Jul 2009OnStar, General Motors' in-vehicle safety and communications system, has launched a service to keep car thieves from starting a vehicle that has been reported stolen. As of July 20, three stolen cars had been disabled by the technology, called "remote ignition block." The feature is available on select 2009 and 2010 GM models. Subscribers must report their vehicles stolen to police officials and request assistance from OnStar, which then sends a signal that prevents the car from restarting.
Nissan TeRRA [w/Gallery]
Wed, 12 Sep 2012Nissan has added another entry to the list of things see at the upcoming Paris motor show in the shape of its TeRRA SUV concept. The TeRRA is a seeming oxymoron as an electric SUV, mixing two of Nissan's strongest market segments into a vehicle that resembles a cross between a Leaf and a Patrol. "You have the big tires, high belt-line, thick pillars and thin side windows of the SUV vocabulary,” explains Shiro Nakamura, Nissan senior vice president and chief creative officer.
