I recently acquired a vintage gauge panel out of a Chris Craft boat. Based on the gauges and other components in the dash, I believe the boat was a 1955 or 1956 model. Since the components are applicable to both car and boat use and many collectors only need one or two pieces, I decided to break the panel down into pieces and sell the individual components. Here is a picture of the complete gauge panel before it was broken down into parts:

If you are looking for other pieces from this gauge panel, please see my other auctions.

This auction is for the following part:

This is a vintage wood gauge panel out of a 50's Chris Craft boat. I believe this is mahogany. This panel is in very good condition with no splits or breaks. There is alot of varnish on it and it should be stripped and refinished. I got done removing the gauges and almost tossed this in the trash but I thought I would list it in case anyone is looking for one. It would take many hours to make this gauge panel.

This is your chance to own the real wood gauge panel you have been dreaming of for your special car, boat, or collection at a NO RESERVE. That's right, the high bidder at auction end will be the proud new owner of this hard to find unit. Don't Miss Out!

Check out my other auctions for more rare and hard to find parts including more components from the gauge panel shown above.

GOOD LUCK!

New car sales September 2014 best in ten years. But…

Mon, 06 Oct 2014

The Ford Fiesta was again the best-selling car – September 2014 We’ve got used to new car sales / registration reusing month after month, and September 2014 is no different. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) is reporting new registration for the important plate change month of September at 425,681 units, the strongest September performance since 2004 and the 31st month in a row new car sales have increased. But the SMMT do say that although September’s figures show yet another increase, it only represents a rise of 5.6 per cent compared to the March plate change registrations rise of 18 per cent, an indication that the new car marekt is starting to level off after nearly three years of growth.
