Brake issue prompts recall of BMW and Rolls-Royce vehicles

BMW is recalling about 198,000 cars with V8 and V12 engines to fix a problem with the brake system. The automaker said a potential leak in the brake system could cause a loss of vacuum, which would reduce the power braking assistance. BMW said the mechanical brakes will stop the vehicle even if there is a vacuum leak.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Live launches

Alfa Romeo has launched a limited edition MiTo – the MiTo Live – with a Pioneer App radio and Marmalade ‘Black Box’ Insurance aimed at new drivers. So on the engine front the MiTo Live gets Alfa’s 875cc two-cylinder turbo – a crackingly good little engine – which delivers up a modest, but fun, 85bhp with emissions of 98g/km and the promise of 67.3mpg if you drive like a saint. Mini Paceman Concept (2011): first official pictures

These are the first official pictures of Mini’s not-so-mini Paceman Concept. Mini calls it a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC), but really it’s just a two-door Countryman. And as CAR revealed way back in April 2009, a second sportier version of Mini's biggest model is on the way: the Paceman will almost certainly reach production.
