DEALER SAMPLE KEY CHAIN

marked:
NATIONAL PRESS CHICAGO

Not marked as to year - but I have done a little research online and I am pretty sure this car in the photo on the keychain is a 1953 Mercury.  According to the Duke University Library website:

"The National Press Company was a Chicago-based printing and advertising company active in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The company specialized in promotional materials and printed novelties (such as matchbook covers, calendars and postcards) produced for political figures and small businesses."

The plastic key fob part measures about 2" by 1 3/8"

Tesla opens its patents for everyone to share EV knowledge

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

By Michael Karkafiris Motor Industry 13 June 2014 10:43 Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors and one of the most talked-about personalities in the automotive industry, announced today that his company has opened all of its patents to make way for the competition to catch up and promote electric mobility for a wider audience. Open-sourcing your patents is a rather unusual strategy in the automotive world but Musk says that ‘Tesla Motors was created to accelerate the advent of sustainable transport. If we clear a path to the creation of compelling electric vehicles, but then lay intellectual property landmines behind us to inhibit others, we are acting in a manner contrary to that goal.

Which sounds better? Jaguar F-Type V8 or V6?

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

Jaguar continues to keep interest in the new F-Type piqued with video comparing the sound of the V6 and V8 F-Type. The latest Jaguar marketing magic comes courtesy of a short video with a pair of F-Types pulling away and accelerating hard; one a V6 supercharged and the other a V8 supercharged. We don’t know whether the V6 is the 340PS base F-Type or the 380PS F-Type S, but it makes a fine noise.

Toyota to build Tesla-powered RAV4 EV in Canada

Sat, 06 Aug 2011

Toyota RAV4 EV - Made in canada There was a bit of a kerfuffle last month when a Toyota man went on record to say that Toyota would not be making an electric RAV4 that you and I could buy and that instead the electric RAV4 would be “…focused on very strategic applications”. We took that to mean business fleets. But it soon transpired that the Toyota man - Toyota’s National Business Planning Manager – has not been speaking with the authority, and Toyota were quick to respond by saying “…2012 RAV4 EV will definitely be sold to the general public”.
