Vintage Dietz Fire Truck Spot Light

This old light looks like it's from the 30's or 40's. It's in pretty good shape for it's age. There is pitting to the nickle or chrome and there is a slight dent that can be seen in the picture that shows the right side of the light. The dent is about an inch to the right of the bracket pivot point and close to where the lens bezel is. It should be easy to pop out, not too close to the edge. There are no wires and the light has not been tested. I believe it is 6 volt and the bulb appears to be in good shape. The light is 11" outside diameter and about 8-1/2" deep. It is marked Dietz on both the housing and the lens.

It looks like it would be a fairly easy restoration.

New Mercedes C-Class AMG Line revealed

Thu, 26 Dec 2013

New Mercedes C-Class AMG Line revealed The 2014 Mercedes C-Class was revealed just last week – and is heading to the Detroit Auto Show next month for its public debut – and it will be joined by this, the 2014 Mercedes C-Class AMG Line. Mercedes AMG Line models are the easy way to make your new diesel-engined C-Class look much more like the C 63 AMG than its prosaic engine would suggest to the casual observer and will be a popular option for those getting a bog-standard C-Class – with its low BIK rates – on the company. The photos of the new C-Class AMG Line come from Mercedes-Benz Passion Blog and show that the AMG Line C-Class gets exactly what you’d expect with a butch front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser, sports suspension, 18″ AMG alloys, AMG grill and chrome trim.

Saab struggles with bills – Vladimir says it’s all fine

Thu, 31 Mar 2011

The Saab production line grinds to a halt as components run out I think we all hoped that after the long, painful transition from GM ownership in to new hands at Spyker that things would settle down and Saab would get back to making cars instead of headlines. But it seems not. Just a few days ago we had news that lifetime Saab man and CEO of Saab Jan Åke Jonsson is to step down in May, together with the news that Saab lost €140 million in 2010.
