Up for bid in a no reserve auction is an original, vintage dome light for an unknown vehicle but is very old considering the lense is glass and it takes a 6 volt bulb. This is in working condition but I would recommend a new wire for the socket, please check all the pictures for they give the best description of the parts. The can is solid with no rust or rot, there's very minor surface rust in spots under the glass retainer, which can be seen in the pictures, but nothing serious. The glass lense looks good,no known cracks, breaks, chips in it. If you have any questions about this item please don't hesitate to contact me. Item ships via USPS medium flat rate box and ships within three business days of cleared payment, usually sooner. Item ships to lower 48 states as well as internationally if buyer assumes responsibility for all charges that their country may impose on them to receive this item, be taxes, tariffs duties, etc not included in the shipping charges. Due to non paying bidders,I now require payment within three business days or item will be relisted and bidder reported. All parts are sold as is,and all sales are final. Thank you for looking and have a great day. Don't forget to check out my other auctions for hard to find original, vintage automotive parts.

Secret Service issues call for next presidential limousine

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

The Secret Service is mulling a replacement for Barack Obama's presidential limousine, the Cadillac-styled vehicle lovingly nicknamed "The Beast." News of the new limousine first reached the Internet via FedBizOpps.gov, the official site for Federal Business Opportunities, which provides listings and contracts for various government projects. (Some other listings included cleaning the kitchens at Okinawa, Coast Guard ship repair, and "Phacoemulsification Surgical Equipment.") It calls for a four-phase development program, which is seemingly straightforward. Phase 1 is armor development -- which is currently underway.

CAR tech: who's to blame for your car's terrible fuel economy?

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

In early 2013 Audi lost a case brought by the Advertising Standard Agency (ASA) because of ‘misleading’ fuel economy figures used in an advert, after a customer complained they couldn’t get anywhere near the 68mpg quoted. The court case once more exposes the yawning gap between officially sanctioned mpg figures and those experienced by owners. A recent study by the Independent Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) looked at cars sold in the UK and Europe, and discovered the difference between official mpg figures and real-world driving had grown from 8% in 2001 to a barely believable 21% in 2011.

Volvo XC90 loses two-tone body, adds more options for 2013

Fri, 06 Jan 2012

Volvo refreshed its XC90 SUV for the 2013 model year. The Swedish automaker says it's the most significant update since the vehicle's debut a decade ago. At the top of the list--for us anyway--is the deletion of the lower body cladding.
