Here is a great little dome light in very good untested condition, very clean, oval shaped, measures 4 1/4 by 2 3/8 inches. No bends breaks or cracks, not sure of the exact application but will work on several years makes and models. The socket looks good but will need new wiring, easy to do with the screws at the side of socket. The milk lens has a cool design, looks like a peace sign, the bezel has a nice ribbed design. The housing is good and solid and clean. I got this from a older gentleman who used to work in a wreaking yard back in the day and he told me he would take the parts he liked off the cars before they were crushed so they have been in dry storage for years and that's why they look so good. Essentially, this is a GTI with a diesel engine – no more, no less. Replacing the 2.0 litre petrol in the GTI is another 2.0 litre, but this time a turbo diesel.
Councils make £594m from parking
Mon, 23 Dec 2013RECORD SURPLUSES from parking revenues have been achieved by councils, according to the RAC Foundation. In 2012/13 councils in England generated a combined "profit" of £594 million from their on and off-street parking operations, the foundation said. This was a 5% increase on the figure of £565 million for 2011/12, and just 52 of the 353 parking authorities in England reported a deficit in 2012/13.
