Early Vintage Ford Script Cowl Lamp

Made by

The J.N.O. W. Brown MFG Co. of Columbus Ohio

 Model 110

Old repaint, dented top, and missing burner assembly, but the housing itself is in good shape with very nice heavy beveled glass lenses in the side and the opening door with wire bail latch.

Suitable for a restoration project, Hot Rod, Rat Rod, or wire it up for a porch light or for in the den, game room, or model railroad room, or put a candle in it or make up a burner assembly for it for a Steampunk or Steam Punk (not sure which way to spell that) lantern.

I've had this laying in my basement for the last 20 years or so and haven't gotten around to doing anything with it yet, so decided maybe it's time to try selling it. After watching a few YouTube videos like this one http://youtu.be/g1l8-Q8odJQ I thought it would be pretty cool to make up a small burner assembly to fit into it and make a Steampunk table lamp out of it, or mount a handle on it and carry it around at the Stephenson County Antique Engine Club's Halloween 'Train of TERROR' I help out at with crowd control every year as seen in a couple of the videos I have posted on YouTube like this one http://youtu.be/ZqKNju-SmrQ and this one http://youtu.be/pClLgSSocJE. Check out the club's website at www.thefreeportshow.com if you'd like more information on that.

But, being behind on bills, and needing money more than I need this, I'm going to have to give up on that idea myself for the time being, and let the new owner decide for themselves what they want to do with it.

Selling AS IS based on pictures and description of condition. It is OLD and worn and missing the original burner, but what's there is good other than the small dent in the top which you may be able to push back out with the proper tools. I will leave that up to you though how you want to deal with it.

Payment to be in U.S. Currency through PayPal unless picking up in person.

Shipping will be calculated by size & weight plus a small $1.50 S&H fee to help cover the cost of some of the materials used, though I usually spend more than that on tape alone making sure the packages are as secure as possible. International shipping is possible IF you're willing to pay for it. Figuring 4-5 pounds shipping weight, it will be a bit expensive, but IF I can keep it under the 4 pound mark without sacrificing the safety of it, then it could go first class International and save you some money.

Thanks For Looking & Happy Bidding !

Please also check out my other current and future auctions. Never know what I might list next from 35-40+ years of collecting and hoarding anything and everything.

Mercedes SLC (a ‘Baby’ SLS) confirmed. Again

Thu, 26 Apr 2012

Mercedes SLC confirmed once more Mercedes big-wigs have been discussing future plans for AMG and have confirmed production of the Mercedes SLC – a baby SLS. It’s always nice to speculate on new cars to come from interesting car makers, and in the case of Mercedes we’ve been actively playing the baby SLS game – a Mercedes SLC – since 2009. What we need to remember is that the SLS – and any SLC to come – is not really a Mercedes, it’s an AMG.

Denmark's Zenvo ST1 supercar lurks at the Geneva Auto Show

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

Zenvo launched the first ST1 about two and a half years ago and has sold “five, about” since then, though the company's press material lists only two sales. Founded by a Dane and headquartered just outside Copenhagen, the world's only Danish supercarmaker has since been bought by a Russian oligarch. The Zenvo ST1 is designed, engineered and manufactured completely by Zenvo, which even made the engine.
