Up for your consideration is the definitive Columbia Motor Corporation Foreign Car Parts Catalog from approx. circa 1976-80.  Identifies foreign cars parts from about 1951 thru 1980.  This is the definitive cross-reference and part number identifier/definer catalog of the era.  Includes part numbers as used by Vandervell, Glyco, Mahle, Goetze, Hazet, Livia, Regina Extra, SEV Marchal, Harting, Pierburg, Tecalemit, British AC, Mann, Hummel, Bremi, Ate, Lockheed, Girling, Ferodo, Textar, Armstrong, Fitchel&Sachs, Amco, Fag, Mintex, Borg-Warner, Cibie, and others.    Used, but still in near-new, useable and serviceable condition (no staining or fingerprints).  All is bound together in a large plastic-cover three-ring binder.  Sections include: Engine Parts, Cooling System, Electrical System,  Fuel-Oil Systems, Brake System, Clutches, Chassis Parts, Bearings-Seals, Lamps, Cables, etc.

You can't go wrong having this excellent cross-reference on your shop shelf.  In addition, the catalog has price sheets from the period.  It's actually an entertaining read for "old school" European car nuts.  Be sure to see our other parts for British and Italian cars in our eBay store.

Thanks for looking.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage ends & big changes afoot at Aston Martin

Sat, 04 May 2013

Launched as a limited edition V12 Vantage in 2009, by 2010 Aston decided there was enough demand to make the V12 Vantage a proper part of Aston’s standard offerings, and since then it’s been the same. The V12 Vantage has also spawned a Roadster version (which, we think, stays in production – at least for now) and the slightly bonkers V12 Zagato, which conspired to look a bit too extreme for an Aston and cost an arm and a leg. We know that AM sold around 1200 V12 Vantage Coupes, around 100 V12 Vantage Roadsters and a handful of V12 Zagatos, but now the run is at an end and we do wonder if there will be a replacement?

Seat celebrates 60 years of production

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

SPANISH car maker Seat has this week celebrated its 60th anniversary, releasing pictures dating back to its very first model, the 1400. Six decades have now passed since the first 1400 rolled off the production line, when the brand new company was inundated with 10,000 orders following the end of petrol rationing in Spain. With so much production demand Seat was able to drop the initial price of 121,875 to a more reasonable 117,000 pesetas, or what would have been about £590 at the time.

Euro NCAP Slams UK Safety Record

Fri, 11 May 2007

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 11 May 2007 10:50 Euro NCAP has panned UK car manufacturers after a dismal performance in its Electronic Stability Control survey. Figures released today by the automotive safety organisation put the cars sold in the UK near the bottom of the table when it comes to fitting ESC as standard. While Denmark, Sweden and Germany topped the list, the UK ranked 20th out of the 25 countries surveyed, only just beating Ireland, Greece, Malta and the Netherlands.
