This is an NOS vintage Dialco clear green lucite beehive pattern dash light, 1" across with 2" bulb holders. Excellent original condition. Vintage metal bezel with high polish finish. SCREW IN 12 or 6v bulb, (12v bulb is included) and you're good to go. These were made many years ago, and they are similar to the type used in the SW panels of the fifties with winged gauges and Ford Model A panels. They are perfect for emergency brake, or warning light signals. Complete with dash fittings and bulb holder, and 12v bulb. This is a great-looking light, and the beehive versions are really tough to find. Great for the dashboard of your 32 Ford or Chevy coupe or roadster.  Very cool rig for your custom 1932 Ford roadster, 1933 coupe with Auburn dash, or 1934 Dodge or Plymouth. Mercedes launch new 9G-Tronic gearbox on E350 BlueTec

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

New Mercedes E350 BlueTec (pictured) gets 9-speed 9G-TRONIC auto It’s not exactly a million years ago that automatic gearboxes offered poorer performance and economy than manual gearboxes, and came as standard with just three gears. But now, automatic gearboxes are so good they can  change quicker than any driver and, with the proliferation of eight-speed auto ‘boxes, offer improved economy and performance too. The next logical step is even more ratios in an auto ‘box, and Land Rover has already revealed they’ll be fitting the Evoque with a 9-speed ZF ‘box from 2014, and the new Jeep Grand Cherokee gets a nine-speed auto ‘box too.

And, in many ways, they were right. They were right because the new owners of Saab, National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS), intend making electric cars in the future, and even though they will get a Saab badge, they won’t be allowed to use the Griffin logo.

Scalded-cheetah Nissan GT-R runs a 7.98 quarter-mile

Eight-second cars are often funny-looking and monstrous-sounding. To get into the eights in the mid-1960s, Dick Landy hacked up his Dodges, altering the wheelbase for better weight transfer. Within a couple of years, the full-on nitro-sucking flopper would come to be the quickest thing with four wheels and a body with some resemblance to a production automobile, ushering the Funny Car era.
