This appears to be an original 1940's Jeep owner's manual pouch. It is stamped "Wagen-Papiere" which stands for official driving papers. It was among several owners manuals that I obtained which included two for Jeep. It is made of leather and has a zipper top. It is in good condition, markings are faded, has mothball aroma. This will be a great addition to your Jeep/Willies collection. Very hard to find.

One Lap of the Web: The Internet celebrates the Mustang

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

Fifty years ago, Muhammad Ali became the heavyweight champion of the world, "Jeopardy!" debuted, Lockheed went 2,000 mph with the YF-12 and a mop-topped band went on a television show to promote what would be shameless nostalgia for the next 50 years, even while it was happening. Oh, and Ford introduced the Mustang, an event that would be Lee Iacocca's Second Greatest Shining Moment, behind introducing Chrysler's TC by Maserati as the prettiest Italian to arrive stateside since his mother. The World's Fair was 50 years ago this week, and the Internet remembers what it was like when the Mustang came out.

Rome and Rio de Janeiro had been announced earlier, but the rest of the cities are new to the schedule. All courses will be run on city streets in downtown locations accessible to public transportation, according to a release by Formula E Holdings, the organization putting on the series.

Audi A1 Quattro gets the XCar treatment

Thu, 30 May 2013

The Audi A1 is just one of the cool European city cars we don't get here in the United States. It shares a platform with the VW Polo, Skoda Fabia and Seat Ibiza. Audi saw fit to drop the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder from the last generation S3 in just 333 examples, all of which have reportedly been sold.
