Nicely Fabricated Tank in Great Condition
Manufacturer Part Number:gasser hot rat rod jalopy

This is a nicely fabricated aluminum fuel tank from a late 60's front engine dragster. The only history that I have is that the car this tank came out of ran at Fremont back in the day. The tank is fabricated from 3/16" aluminum and has a very nice 2" threaded filler bung and a solid aluminum cap with a knurled grip. There is one large outlet at the tapered rear of the tank and 2 threaded returns at the front on top. There are also two provisions for venting at the rear on top as well. All the threads are good. There are tabs welded to the front and sides for mounting. There are no dents. The tank was polished years ago but needs to be shined up. It measures approx. 34" long, 9 1/2" wide at the rear, 6" wide at the front, 6" tall at the rear, and 3" tall at the front. I hate to let this go but I need money for another project.

Jaguar XF Estate on the way

Sun, 22 Mar 2009

Jaguar XF Estate - Expected to show as a Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September Jaguar doesn’t have the best history on estate cars (the X-Type Estate, although a reasonable car – and 4WD – was just a Mondeo with smart clothes) but the Jaguar XF is such a triumph for Jaguar that I’m sure we’ll see the XF Estate taking the fight to the Germans in a big way. It’s reasonable to expect the standard engines and trim versions to carry over to the Estate, but apparently so will the mighty XFR trim. Which means we will see a Jaguar Estate car which will be able to take on the likes of the M5 Estate, the E63 AMG Estate and the RS6 Estate.

The new-generation Lagondas are to include a sporty crossover, an Allroad-type crossover and a high-end luxury saloon following in the footsteps of the William Towns-designed boxy 1976 Aston Martin Lagonda, CAR understands.

Wales, already home to some of the UK’s best driving roads, is getting an all-new purpose-built racing circuit. The 3.5-mile track, to be christened ‘Circuit of Wales’, is due to be opened in 2015/2016, with work beginning on the site later in 2013. Where will the Circuit of Wales be built?
