2012 Scion xD to start at $16,075

Prices for the 2012 Scion xD will start at $16,075, Toyota said on Wednesday. For the standard five-speed manual, that’s a $235 increase from final price of the 2011 model. The sticker increases to $16,875 for the four-speed automatic version, which is also $235 more expensive than its 2011 counterpart.

Gordon Murray Design has unveiled the T25 prototype, a car that the company's founder, Gordon Murray, has long talked about as the vehicle that will revolutionize the automotive industry. At just 2400mm long, 1300mm wide and 1600mm high, the T25 occupies a greatly reduced footprint in comparison to a Smart ForTwo or Toyota iQ. Alarming number of drivers lack road sign knowledge

A THIRD OF DRIVERS in the UK do not know even the most basic road signs such as the National Speed Limit and Slippery Road warnings. This is the finding of a survey by More Than, which found that 34% of drivers in the UK did not know what the National Speed Limit sign was. The Slippery Road sign was misunderstood by one in seven drivers as meaning ‘paint on the road.’ With research conducted alongside 29 police forces, the survey found 20% of UK drivers had received penalty points for speeding in the past 10 years.
