Vintage Marine 9 1/4 inch Main Compass by E.S. Ritchie & Sons, Boston USA In Wooden Box


Writen on the card "Ritchie Boston"
On the rim it says " E.S. Ritchie & Sons INC", 93.177, Boston"
It is stamped with the number 93.177 on the rim.
It is in the original box used in the vessel.

History:

This compass was used on a 48' (I think) Swordfish and longliner (Ecolite).
The ship sailed out of Halifax NS. Canada during the late 50s. Picture is included with the add.
It was then moved to a new 65' ship built in Cheticamp Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in the 60s.
It was then moved again many years later to a 45 foot inshore fishing boat
and ended up in a 35 foot boat untill retirement.

The box is 10 1/2 inches X 11 3/4 inchs X 3 3/4 Inches
The Compass is 9 1/4 Inches across.
